Rowdy got his Rally Novice and a high in class ribbon! Good boy, Rowdy. We tried the Advance course and wow, he even did the jump well rather than going to investigate that water drip! Har har.
A huge thanks to everyone who was involved in organizing the Rally trial . . . . especially Lianne Daradics ~ the answerer of all questions, our trial secretary ~ Janet Rein and our canteen CEO ~ Brenda Theaker. It was a fabulous weekend full of club volunteers and club members who came out just to watch and share in the fun. I had many of the non-member attendees tell me how pleased they were with the trial. They found our club to be well organized, friendly and a couple of the entrants who have been on the Rally circuit for many months said that ours was the best trial they had attended and wanted to be sure that I shared that with the membership. As we chatted and waited for the coffee to brew, they spoke repeatedly about how lucky we are. Lucky to have a club that valued obedience, rally, tracking and on and on the list went. Lucky that we didn't have to drive and drive (and drive) to get to our club. Lucky that we had folks like Sue Ailsby to chat with. Lucky that there is so much collective wisdom to share. Lucky that we had each other. I know this may sound a bit sappy (NO, I haven't been drinking!) but as I listened to them talk, I thought that yes, we are very lucky to have each other.
