WDOC Obedience Trials

Wascana Dog Club put on 4 obedience trials during the last weekend in March. Many members pitched in to help this event run smoothly and it was very well attended. Below are a few of our member's accomplishments....

- CH Dakota call me but love and life --Juliette got her PCD with her handler Carol Martens-Clappison

- I have great news to share from the weekend. Today Sugar qualified two more times (once yesterday as well) and obtained her PCD, prenovice title in obedience. It is the first step in formal obedience and for only 8 months old we are very proud of how well she managed to control herself. She will take a well deserved break from obedience practice and we will concentrate solely on the conformation ring, and perhaps a bit of rally or agility..:) We thank judges Carol Allison and Karen Graham Banman for her qualifying scores.Presenting: BPIS Striders Sugar Sugar V WishMastr PCD.

- I am so proud of Charlie, he qualified three times this weekend and got his CKC PCD Obedience title! I really appreciate the help that I receive from members at the WDOC that made it possible. Thank you so much! by Marion E.

Charmlee's Grover earned two legs towards his CD this past weekend at the WDOC's CKC obedience trials. Grover also earned one Novice A High in Class with a score of 192/200. Considering these were our first obedience trials ever I'm pretty pleased with our performance. Congratulations to all the other teams for their enjoyable performances, and thanks to the Club and everyone who made the weekend so much fun!  Tania N.

- This weekend was our first attempt at Open A, and I am proud to say that Rowdy (Ch Carolot's Noble Hunter) passed in all 4 trials to earn his CDX. Atta boy, Rowdster. Proud of ya... Joni P.

- Congratulations to the team of Carol A and Ch Carolot's KD Canasta for earning her CD and achieving High in Trial in ALL FOUR TRIALS with scores of 198, 197, 199, and 198.  WOW!

Rally-O Weekend

March 10th & 11th saw many of Wascana's members "strutting their stuff" around rally sign courses. Everyone had fun with their dogs, from newbies to the experienced. Congratulations to all who participated...

From Lianne -
Emy completed her Rally Novice with scores of 200 and 199. She also completed her Novice team title. She got her first Q in team with Aaron and Payton last fall and her 2nd & 3rd Q's with Jill and Sonny last weekend.

From Elaine -
Madigan and Kaeleigh had a great time at the Caro Rally trial put on by KAOS and finished their novice title despite my getting lost in the maze of stations. They are great girls and can compensate for their bumbling handler.

From Andy - This was my first obedience trial after 18 years and so much different then my past CKC trials. Excitement was high yet conquered with qualifying scores. Fortune gave me fantastic partners Joni and Rowdy sending me and Atom very readable calming signs that removed all our nervousness and helped to achieve HIC in team competition. Congrats to Lianne and Emmy for perfect scores.

From Joni -
It was our first experience at Rally-O and we had fun. Despite our crooked sits while on the course, we placed well and I was proud of his accomplishment. Good boy, Rowdy!

The fun part of the weekend? Watching everyone else! My team partner, Andy, did a great job after his initial nervousness and had Atom respond instantly for a near perfect performance Sunday morning. Well done Andy.

(NOTE - If you were at the trial feel free to send me a blurb and I will add it on the weekend.)

Fall Activities with "The Carolot Crew"

The October trials saw me in the ring with my very first ever PCD. I did want to experience this at least once. It was alot of fun. My team-mate for this event was Ch Carolot's KD Canasta TD, UTD.  KD then went on tho pass her Rally Novice at the Nov. trials as well
Entering obedience for the first time was Brooke. She succeeded in passing her novice with 3 High in Trial and the 4th time with a 196. She also received high aggregate.
Brooke ( owner Kelly M) also obtained her Rally Novice title in Nov. to become : Ch Carolot's Lady of the Lake CD, RN.
"Ch Carolot's IC is Having a Ceili "adds a new RN to her name. Owned and handled by Elaine F. Kaeleigh and Elaine even pulled off their first leg in "advanced"
Ch Carolot's Noble Hunter, WCI, TD, CD, RN, (Rowdy) obtained his Rally advanced title and also his first 2 legs on excellent. Congratulations Joni.
